With the New Year comes New Year’s resolutions. Made with enthusiasm, they often quickly fall by the wayside.
Resolutions were never a big thing for me but in the fall, a friend predicted that a new cycle in my life would begin in 2016 . . . that it was time for me to clear out the cobwebs and take the first step on a new path. Well, the challenge of a new path . . . that sounded interesting. So I am going to begin this journey right at my front door.
First stop is right in my clothes closet. I’ve been holding on to three sizes of clothing “just in case.” These have to go! But winnowing down my wardrobe to just one size is only the first step. There are decisions to be made about what’s left. What to keep? What to send packing? So here’s a strategy to make this easier. Turn all the hangers around so the hooks are facing to the outside. As you wear an item, rehang it the “right” way. At the end of the year, you will be able to quickly identify the items you don’t wear.
As we progress through 2016, I will be sharing tips from experts as well as some tips of my own. I hope you will join me each month and see where this journey takes us. It’s always nice to have a travelling companion.
